JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Your Saturday will resemble Friday in terms of isolated stormy weather, which is expected to begin around lunchtime and last through sunset. It feels like temperatures will be at or above 100 when you factor in the humidity.
Highs are expected to reach the upper 80s along the coast to the lower 90s inland under partly to mostly cloudy skies. Southerly winds will usher in the stormy weather, moving from south to northeast throughout the day.
Expect heavy downpours, frequent lightning, and gusty winds at times. When you see lightning and hear thunder, be sure to seek shelter indoors.
There is a chance of localized flooding in areas that have seen heavy rainfall over the past few days.
For Father’s Day, the forecast has a bit more sunshine in store for our area, but the afternoon will follow a similar pattern with the opportunity for scattered storms and sticky heat.
