JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia are in for another round of “hit or miss” showers and storms through the weekend.
Scattered showers are starting to form, moving from the south to the north along a southwesterly breeze. Heavy downpours and gusty winds are associated with the storms. Localized flooding is possible as well as frequent lightning.

Not every neighborhood will see rain—some areas may stay dry, while others get a quick but intense soaking.
The good news: Most storms are not expected to be severe, but it’s a smart move to head indoors if you hear thunder.
Storms should taper off after sunset, though some showers may linger into the evening as warm southern winds keep overnight temperatures on the higher side.
Father’s Day weekend
Keep an umbrella handy and stay weather aware. While neither Saturday nor Sunday appears to be a total washout, scattered storms and downpours remain possible both days.
