Jacksonville, FL – Update 9:00 p.m. Locally heavy rain producing thunderstorms have come to an end across NE FL and SE GA. Areas of light rain remain and will continue to dissipate through late tonight.

Radar estimates of 2 - 4 inches of rain fell in Charlton, Baker and Columbia counties.

Flood advisories will expire at 10:00 p.m. in northern Columbia County.

The pattern continues through Father’s Day. Temperatures are just above our seasonal averages, but the humidity is making the low 90s feel closer to the triple digits.

Evening: Showers with thunderstorms. Clearing skies will lead to patchy to dense fog late.

Thursday: Hot and humid as the southeasterly wind ushers in afternoon showers and thunderstorms, 40-70 percent. Locally heavy rain and strong wind gusts will be possible in stronger storms. Lows will be in the 70s with afternoon highs reaching the 90s inland, upper 80s to low 90s along the beaches. Winds will come from the southeast at 10-15 mph. Showers with storms end after sunset with patchy fog developing late.
