Live Radar: Scattered storms for some and HOT temperatures for all

Get ready for another hot day in Jacksonville

Jacksonville wakes up to a warm and muggy Monday morning with temperatures starting off in the low to mid 70s under partly cloudy skies.

A light southeast breeze offers a little relief, but the humidity is already hinting at what’s to come.

It’s a good idea to take care of outdoor chores or get in your exercise early before the heat builds.

By midday, the sun breaks through the cloud cover and temperatures surge into the low 90s.

With dew points creeping into the low 70s, it’s going to feel more like you’re in the triple digits at peak heating.

Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms are possible by late afternoon, but not everyone will see them. They will likely be most prominent in Southeast Georgia, with gusty winds and locally rainy conditions.

A similar weather pattern holds for the next few days, so plan on early day sunshine, hot afternoons, and hit-or-miss evening storms as our classic Florida summer setup settles in.
