Jacksonville, FL – Update: 9:00 p.m. A few showers and thunderstorms continue near and along I-95 and US 1 in SE GA. These are slowly moving east and will reach the beaches around 10 p.m.
These will provide a nice light show as they move over the Atlantic waters. Stray showers will fade between 10 p.m. - midnight.
The heat will continue as a series of fronts slowly push through area through Friday with rain chances daily.
A stronger front will move south through Saturday with showers and storms giving way to sunnier skies on Sunday.
Tonight: Showers with storms then clearing late.
Wednesday: Partly cloudy and hot with showers and thunderstorms, 30-40 percent. Morning lows in the 60s and 70s with afternoon highs in the upper 80s to low 90s. Wind SE/SW 5-10 mph. Showers with storms through sunset, then fading around midnight.
Looking ahead: The unsettled pattern will continue on Thursday with less rain coverage Friday and this weekend. Temperatures will be closer to seasonal averages Friday through Sunday too!
