Dry conditions, light winds, and heat to start the week

Monday futurecast

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The high heat continues into the week leading up to Memorial Day weekend. After Sunday’s 95-degree heat (one shy of the record), expect more of the same today.

With the heat index, the “feel like” will be over 100! The wind will be calm, with an east coast sea breeze that will keep the beaches in the lower 90s. High is expected to be 97, which would tie the record from 1960.

Monday planner

Tuesday will be more of the same with breezy conditions. Wednesday is the next best chance for rainy weather as a cold front approaches from the northwest.

Looking ahead to Memorial Day, the weather will be nice and dry.
