Stay cool out there, Southeast Georgia & Northeast Florida

Record-breaking highs possible throughout the mid-May weekend

Saturday planner

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – If today is anything like Friday, we’ll have another high-temperature record broken across our region. After 30 years, Friday’s high of 96 was surpassed by one degree—97. Today, we could see the same number from the same year fall as well.

Saturday highs

After a chance of early morning patchy fog, mostly dry weather continues throughout the weekend, with a very slight possibility of showers trickling down into central Georgia.

Be cautious of overheating if you spend too much time outdoors. Additionally, make sure your spring lawns are adequately watered. Always check your car for vulnerable adults, pets, and children before locking the doors.

Expect 90s into Sunday afternoon, as well.

Late next week, ahead of the Memorial Day weekend, will be the first real chance of rain, and that’s only 20% as of today.
