JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Officially, Jacksonville International Airport reached 97 degrees on Friday, breaking the 30-year record of 96 (1995). More record-tying, record-breaking temperatures are on the way this weekend, and into next week.
Clear skies throughout the evening will continue to bring warm temperatures into the overnight hours with the possibility of foggy spots before sunrise.
Beyond sunrise, partly cloudy skies will roll in along with the heat. With a forecasted high of 97, the record of 96 from 1995 (also) has the potential to be broken.
