Scattered storms to end the week, before a wet Mother’s Day weekend

Friday forecast

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – We’re expecting widespread scattered showers to develop this afternoon and into the evening hours. Heavy downpours, gusty winds, and isolated thunderstorms are the biggest threats. Temperatures will stay warm, with highs in the upper 80s.

Evening storms

Saturday morning will be humid but mostly dry until the afternoon, when stormy weather returns.

Expect more shower activity on Mother’s Day through Tuesday when the rainy weather starts to taper off. The remainder of next week will be mostly dry with only a 20% chance of afternoon showers.
