Sunday storms taper off as dry air moves in

Front moving through

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The majority of the afternoon storms throughout our region have moved offshore, leaving behind cooler temperatures into the evening hours.

The front converged with the sea breeze and warm temperatures in Northeast Florida, leaving behind pea-sized hail in Clay County and gusty winds up to 56mph in St. Johns County.

Some spots could see up to 1 inch of much-needed rain following this system.

Monday dries out and temperatures stay just above normal before another round of rain approaches from the Gulf mid-to-late week.
