The wind is beginning to weaken inland, but it is still breezy on the beaches. The northeast wind will subside overnight and then increase again on Thursday, although not as strong. The onshore flow could steer a shower or two our way after midnight and Thursday morning.
Rain and thunderstorms with a cold front will pass through Friday afternoon and early evening. Following the cold front, sunny skies with Spring temperatures.
Tonight: Mostly clear and cooler tonight. The northeast breeze will weaken to 5 - 10 mph inland, beaches 10 - 15 mph.
Thursday: Breezy and a little warmer with a few coastal showers possible. Morning lows in the upper 40s and 50s for SE GA, 50s for NE FL with 50s to low 60s along our beaches. Afternoon highs in the 70s inland, and along the beaches. Wind: NE 10-15 mph. Partly cloudy and mild overnight.
Friday: Partly cloudy early then becoming cloudy by noon. Scattered showers with storms will move across southeast Georgia starting late morning to early afternoon and then move south of the FL/GA line around 2 - 3 pm. The front will move offshore around 8 pm. Rain chances, 40-60 percent. Rainfall totals will be light with heavier amounts possible due to thunderstorms, Trace - 0.50 inch.
Looking ahead: Open window weather continues with near seasonal temperatures on Thursday. Another cold front moves in Friday with a chance of showers through late afternoon. Sunny skies and spring temperatures this weekend.
