The rain is linked to a weak frontal boundary that won’t cool us off today or tomorrow. It will spark heavier showers and thunderstorms in southern Georgia with lighter showers south of Jacksonville.
The day starts 5-10 degrees warmer with breezy conditions this afternoon as winds pick up from the southwest at speeds of 15 to 20 mph.
Temperatures will remain on the milder side before a cool front brings changes by Thursday, dropping temperatures to the low 70s later in the week.
Looking ahead: Your weekend weather
After Tuesday we dry out with temperatures gently climbing back into the 80s as the weekend approaches. By Sunday, rain chances return but they will be minimal, setting the scene for a relatively dry weekend, perfect for outdoor plans!
