Lunar eclipse and warmer days

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Looks like we’re in for a treat with the total lunar eclipse coming up tonight. The skies are expected to be quite clear just in time to enjoy this celestial event. Let’s dive into the forecast details.

Lunar eclipse viewing conditions

The weather is looking great for those planning to gaze at the lunar eclipse. Although there might be some cloud cover in the early evening, these are expected to clear out, giving everyone a great view during the pre-dawn hours. By the time the eclipse rolls around at 2:26 am, temperatures should cool down into the 50s.

Tomorrow will be in the mid to upper 79s and mostly sunny. The dry weather carries over into Saturday, but potential severe weather on Sunday could impact your plans. Southern Georgia might see some thunderstorms, with storm activity affecting our region as well. Expect rain chances to peak at 80% Sunday afternoon into the evening.
