The system moving through is not severe but is dumping a lot of rain.
A tornado warning was issued briefly Monday morning for Putnam County after the National Weather Service said a severe thunderstorm capable of spawning a tornado was located near Hollister at 7:36 a.m., 8 miles southeast of Interlachen and moving at 40 mph.
The tornado warning and severe thunderstorm warning expired at 8 a.m.
The heaviest rainfall will be from I-10 and across Southeast Georgia with 1-3 inches of additional rain possible, along with isolated severe storms.
Most of the rain should move out by 9 a.m. and continue to taper off by the Noon hour.
Wind gusts will continue to amp up throughout the day, so even after the rain moves out, we could see problems with the winds due to how saturated the ground will be.
Once the rain moves out, drier air moves in for the remainder of the week.
