A frosty start to Friday followed by scattered showers and rain this weekend

There will be clear skies with lighter wind Thursday night. Then it will be a chilly start to your Friday followed by a sunny and warmer afternoon.

There will be possible frost early Friday for inland areas of Southeast Georgia. Scattered showers and rounds of rain will return this weekend.

A Frost Advisory will be in effect for southeast Georgia from 4 a.m. - 8 a.m. A few car tops and windshields could see a little frost near and along I-10, for inland areas of Northeast Florida. After that, it will be warmer on Friday with near seasonal highs.

Tonight: Not as windy, clear skies, chilly.

Friday: Frost Advisory for SE GA, 4 a.m. - 8 a.m. Becoming sunny and warmer with the wind shifting to a warmer southerly flow during the afternoon. Morning lows in the 30s to low 40s. Afternoon highs in the 70s inland, 60s along the beaches. Wind: N/S 5-10 mph. Skies will become partly cloudy late.

Saturday: Partly cloudy skies with an increasing chance of showers, 30%. Lows in the upper 40s to 50s. Afternoon highs in the 70s, including the sandy shores. Wind: SW 5-10 mph.

Sunday: Cloudy with rounds of rain. Southeast Georgia will have a slightly better chance of heavier rain as the front slowly drags through our area. Rain chances: 70-90 percent. Lows in the 50s to near 60. Highs in the upper 60s to low 70s. Wind: SW 10 -15 mph.

Looking ahead: The clocks spring forward one hour on Sunday. Scattered showers continue Monday.
