Weather Impact Day ends: Light showers remain

Second round of rain this afternoon targets southern counties

The first round of steady morning rain has ended with only light showers expected through lunch.

Another push of rain from the Gulf will track eastward across NE Florida and later in the afternoon. The heaviest rain will be from Gainesville to St. Augustine.

Most rain will move out of Southeast Georgia by the afternoon, while areas south of Jacksonville keep some showers until 5 pm.

Heavier rain this afternoon between Gainesville and Palm Coast, while the northern areas begin drying out.
Drips dry out this evening.

No severe weather or thunderstorms are expected, but it could be several hours of wet conditions on Wednesday.

The rain will clear tonight but the cloudy skies remain behind.
