Record-breaking highs before a rainy cold front dips in on Thursday

Wednesday Evening Forecast

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – If you’re feeling hot today, you’re not alone. Record highs across our area are helping the pollen fall like rain. On Thursday, the rain will wash it all away.

The record high for Wednesday was 84 set in 2020. As of 3:30 p.m., the high was 85. Officially, the record low for Thursday morning is also facing a record-breaking temperature.

The biggest temperature swing will happen Friday following the dry air settling in after the cold front passes through. A 20-degree difference on the cooler side is likely by Valentine’s Day afternoon.

First, heavy rains with isolated thunderstorms on Thursday will impact your late morning and afternoon. Be sure to pack your umbrella and raincoats.
