JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Yes, it’s still cold outside, but thankfully no rain in the forecast. Some lingering puddles could freeze over, but the roadways are dry.
A sunny day will dominate the day and temperatures could reach as high as 50! It’s still significantly below normal, but it’s a start to a warmup that will continue into next week.
Meanwhile, sunny skies and cooler weather will keep the last weekend of January under freeze watch/warning criteria with frosty conditions over the next few mornings.
Currently, a Freeze Watch is in effect for all counties beginning at 9 p.m. Friday night through Saturday morning. Meaning, sub-freezing temperatures as low as 22 are possible. We’re not expecting much wind and that will help keep the wind chill factor low.
Continue to cover your sensitive vegetation, take care of your pet, pipe, and check in on your people to make sure they are fully insulated.
