Sunday soaker continues before temperatures start to sink

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The overnight storms will continue throughout the morning and into the early afternoon before moving out of our area. Once the skies clear, the temperature will drop rapidly after sunset. A Freeze Warning will go into effect Monday morning at 2 a.m. thru 10 a.m. our SE Georgia and NE Florida counties except St. Johns and Putnam.

Additionally, SE Georgia and inland NE Florida counties are under a Freeze Watch from Monday evening through Tuesday morning. A cold weather advisory is also in effect for this evening through Monday morning as wind chill factors are expected to be in the mid-teens.

The chances of a wintry mix, including freezing rain Tuesday night into Wednesday morning south of Waycross to the I-10 corridor, include snow north of Waycross and will continue to be monitored.
