LIVE RADAR: A cold snap is coming, but first a few strong storms today

A Freeze Warning has been issued for western Duval County and Southeast Georgia counties starting at 4 a.m. on Tuesday.

Good morning!

We are dealing with a weakening area of low pressure coupled with a cold front, both of which will move through our area on Monday.

The low-pressure system will bring showers and storms, some of which could be severe. We’re under a marginal risk for severity and the primary risks are damaging wind gusts, heavy rain across parts of our area, and lightning associated with this system.

Bring in anything that could potentially blow away.

We will see storms completely out of our viewing area by 5 p.m.

As the cold front moves through, expect lows to drop into the 20s and 30s as we move through the week.

A Freeze Warning has been issued for western Duval County and Southeast Georgia counties starting at 4 a.m. on Tuesday.
