JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Get the crock pot and Fritos ready. Sunday morning will be another cold start, with a Freeze Warning (inland Southeast Georgia) and a Frost Advisory (portions of inland Northeast Florida) until 8 a.m.
Temperatures will warm up nicely into the low 60s under clear skies and light winds, keeping the wind chill only 2-3 degrees cooler.
Jacksonville International Airport recorded a low of 29 degrees Sunday morning. So far in 2024, the coldest day was January 21 with a low of 28 degrees.

Currently, a Freeze Warning is in effect 1 a.m.-9 a.m. Monday morning, December 2 and again Tuesday morning, December 3.
A Freeze Warning means sub-freezing temperatures as low as
30 degrees are expected. For the Freeze Watch, sub-freezing temperatures as low as 30 degrees are possible.
Portions of Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia are included in the alerts: Baker-Inland Nassau-Union-Bradford-Eastern Alachua-Western Clay-Western Alachua-Northern Columbia-Southeastern Columbia-Western Duval-Southwestern Columbia-Clinch-Inland Camden-Northern Ware-Northeastern Charlton-Southern Ware-Western Charlton.
Appropriate action should be taken to ensure tender
vegetation and outdoor pets have adequate protection from the cold temperatures. Young children, the elderly and the homeless are especially vulnerable to the cold. Take measures to protect them.
