JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – If you enjoy warm weather over Thanksgiving, this one is for you. While we’ve seen our fair share of 80 degree weather this November (one for the record books, actually), a major cool down is around the corner.
The remainder of your Wednesday will be pleasant with temperatures dropping into the 70s after sunset at 5:26 p.m. Then, after midnight, expect fog to develop inland before burning off by 10 a.m. Thursday morning.
Early risers and Turkey Trot walkers/runners will either love the 65 degree temperatures or feel like it’s too warm to enjoy the morning workout before the big meal. Either way, the warmth and humidity will prevail throughout the day before a strong cold front pushes through.
Late Thursday afternoon, the cold front will first approach our Southeast Georgia counties bringing along the possibility of thunderstorms and gusty winds; can’t rule out an isolated tornado during these conditions. These showers will trickle into Northeast Florida overnight into Friday.
Behind the cold front, we’ll see the coldest temperatures of the year with the possibility of freezing temperatures on Tuesday.
