Early Friday morning flights from JAX canceled due to Hurricane Helene

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – All flights scheduled to depart out of the Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) early Friday morning have been canceled, according to the latest update on the airport’s website.

According to the airport’s website, 25 flights have been canceled due to Hurricane Helene, which hit Florida as a major Category 4 hurricane late Thursday night.

Flight tracking data indicated that many early morning flights were canceled because the planes scheduled for those flights on Thursday night were also canceled.

Despite the cancelations, the airport remains open.
