JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Wet weather continues today after starting with foggy conditions throughout inland areas of Northeast Florida.
Rain will begin around lunchtime and should clear out by dinnertime. Expect heavy downpours which could add to the already saturated soil and puddles on the roadways, but no significant rain accumulation is expected.

Meanwhile, a coastal flood advisory remains in effect until 5 p.m. Sunday for areas around the St Johns River specifically during high tide. Winds will be light throughout the day out of the NE.
Highs in the mid-80s today with a 50-60% chance of showers and a possible thunderstorm.
Gainesville is predicted to have rain throughout the day, making the swamp extra swampy this afternoon.

Tropical Storm Gordon is poorly organized in the far eastern Atlantic and remains a non-threat to land moving WNW at 9 mph with 45mph winds. Strengthening is expected next week.
An area of low pressure continues to brew off the coast of the Carolinas with a 20-50% chance of becoming tropical over the next 2-7 days.
