Rounds of locally heavy rainfall will continue through Friday

A little drier this weekend

.

JACKSONVILLE, FLa. – This stubborn stalled front continues to kick off rounds of showers and some storms. Rain could pick up, becoming heavier into the dinnertime hour with some gusty winds. I don’t see it fading until after 8 -9 pm this evening.

Clouds and damp conditions continue overnight with periods of light showers possible.

Don’t expect much improvement Friday as we will be under the same weather conditions that made for such an overcast and soggy day today. Rain with storms continue, 60-80 percent for NE FL, 70-80 percent for SE GA.

You should see slow improvement into the weekend as the frontal boundary begins to lift northward away from Jacksonville.

Highs will stay in the mid 80s Friday before returning into the 90s Saturday and Sunday.
