UPSHOT League aims to put women's basketball on center stage in Jacksonville

The popularity of women's basketball has given Jacksonville momentum to capitalize on it. On Monday, Zawyer Sports & Entertainment announced the creations of the UPSHOT League. It will be based in Jacksonville and home to no fewer than four teams when it tips off in May 2026. There are some big names on board, including former WNBA president Donna Orender and basketball hall of famer Cheryl Miller.
