Atlantic Beach woman thought she was ‘gonna die’ when man killed by JSO officers was driving at her

Two people who were at a fitness center in Atlantic Beach on Monday evening recalled the chaotic scene that ended in a deadly officer-involved shooting involving the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. One of the witnesses, who owns Kai Fitness in Atlantic Beach, told News4JAX he heard multiple gunshots at the scene of the officer-involved shooting incident that began at a boat ramp and ended in a crash and a standoff in Atlantic Beach.
