Mother, husband of missing Maxville woman plead for her safe return amid ongoing search

A Duval County woman has been missing for two days, and her family is begging for answers. Her mother, Lisa Lucas, said that as more time passes since her daughter went missing, she becomes more concerned. “Kayla, please come home,” she said. She also said that her daughter has been in a dark place recently. Three weeks ago, Lucas says Bailey left home with her children, but returned last week on Tuesday, and was “just not herself.” Her husband, Joshua Bailey, says Kayla was wearing a black romper when she left their home on foot Monday morning. He tells News4JAX that he went to the Sunoco near Maxville, where her last location pinged, to try and find her.
