One dead, five taken to hospital after crash involving two SUVs on SR 9B near E-Town Parkway

The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department said one person died and multiple people were taken to the hospital Sunday afternoon following a crash on the city’s Southside. According to the report conducted by the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 12:15 p.m. on State Road 9B and E-Town Parkway, and involved two SUVs. One SUV was driven by a 34-year-old woman, who had four passengers in her car, including a 29-year-old woman, a 14-year-old boy, a 15-year-old girl, and a 5-year-old girl. Each person in the vehicle was from Mooresville, North Carolina. The other SUV was driven by a 40-year-old woman from St. Augustine.
