Weather Authority Weekday: Extreme heat continues with chance of afternoon storms

The Weather Authority is keeping a close eye on Jacksonville as the area continues to experience extreme heat, with a heat advisory in place for nearly every neighborhood until at least 7 p.m. Temperatures were already hitting 76 degrees early in the morning, with places like Orange Park pushing close to 80 degrees. And the sticky, windless conditions aren’t making things any easier.
