‘Lift Every Voice and Sing,’ written in Jacksonville, is celebrating 125 years

Celebrations are underway to mark the 125th anniversary of the song “Lift Every Voice and Sing," which was written by James Weldon Johnson and his brother, Rosamond, in Jacksonville and has become the Black National Anthem.
