This Week in Jacksonville: History made: Jacksonville City Council approves deal for new stadium

Mission accomplished for the leaders of the city, and the city’s NFL franchise. Plans to create what the Jaguars call “The Stadium of the Future” were approved this week by City Council members, who voted 14 to 1 in favor of the proposal. Former City of Jacksonville Chief of Staff Chris Hand says it’s probably the biggest moment in the history between the city of Jacksonville and the Jacksonville Jaguars since the team was first awarded in November of 1993.
