This project follows an emergency repair of a water main break, which we covered last July.

JEA realized after evaluating the water main more that the pipe needed to be fully replaced to maintain the reliability of the water system and prevent future outages and traffic disruptions.
To guarantee the safety of the workers and public, one traffic lane in each direction on San Jose Boulevard may be temporarily closed at times between I-295 and Ricky Road during construction (note times below).
The median and turn lanes within the work zone will also be closed during the project.
