TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – An investigation into human trafficking over the past two years has led to the arrests of nearly 200 people on criminal charges ranging from solicitation of prostitution to human trafficking of a minor, the Tallahassee Police Department announced Tuesday. Authorities said human trafficking of minors involves children being manipulated or exploited into some type of work or sexual acts. In 2019,1,887 victims, 427 traffickers and 243 trafficking businesses were identified in Florida by the National Human Trafficking Hotline. Today, the Tallahassee Police Department is concluding a large-scale human trafficking investigation. TALLAHASEE, Fla. Police in Florida say a man who pulled a gun at a protest won't face charges because he was defending himself. The Tallahassee Police Department said in a statement that the incident occurred during a protest downtown. Police said a white man began documenting the protest" and then was pushed from behind. The Tallahassee Democrat reported that a person identified as Adam Ferguson said the person with the gun instigated the fight when he shoved a female protester. Ferguson said another protester then shoved him back, and the man threw a punch that hit Fergusons girlfriend.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - A man ordered to leave a construction-supply business after quarreling with co-workers returned minutes later and stabbed five employees Wednesday in LeonTallahassee, seriously wounding one of them, authorities said. The suspect, who was arrested nearby, is 41-year-old Antwann Brown, according to the Tallahassee Police Department. He is facing five counts of attempted first-degree murder and one count of aggravated assault, the State Attorney's Office confirmed. One victim was in serious condition at a hospital, two were in fair condition and another two were in good condition, said Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare spokeswoman Danielle Buchanan. Using a pocketknife, Brown appeared to seek out certain colleagues at the facility on Maryland Circle around 8:37 a.m., according to police.
