Two fraternities are preparing for their seventh annual softball charity game against each other to give back to the community on Jacksonville’s Northside.

Sulzbacher will open cold night shelters for those in need ahead of the anticipated frost and freeze on Wednesday night through Thursday morning.

Due to the threat of heavy rainfall from Elsa, Sulzbacher says it’s ready to provide emergency shelter for homeless people in the Jacksonville area.

The credit union also donated $3,000 worth of gift cards. “It was an important partnership because everyone has had a difficult year this year,” said 121 Financial Credit Union President and CEO David Marovich. So for many of them, they don’t have the money to buy Christmas gifts this year.
