According to Jacksonville Sheriff's Officers, a car had a tire blow out on the eastbound lanes of the expressway earlier in the morning about 4 a.m. and an officer responded. While waiting with the disabled vehicle for a tow truck, another vehicle crashed into the police cruiser. Later, another JSO officer was responding to the first crash on the westbound lanes when that cruiser got into a crash with another car. Officers conducted DUI tests, but said everyone involved in both crashes OK at this time.
