He’s dedicated his nearly 50-year career to helping keep Northeast Florida safe, and for the last 13 years, his focus has been on his home turf  as the elected Sheriff of Nassau County -- which covers the area where he grew up -- Fernandina Beach.

Twenty-three people were arrested across multiple counties in Florida and Georgia during the operation, which spanned two months.

While participating in the academy; teens will be able to learn about patrol operations, special operations including marine, agriculture, and motorcycle units, defensive tactics, forensics, and much more.
