The Glynn County Police Department announced on Tuesday that it is one of 26 law enforcement agencies in Georgia to receive a Highway Enforcement of Aggressive Traffic (H.E.A.T) grant to combat crashes, injuries, and deaths caused by impaired driving and speeding.

Florida drivers might think they’re experts at driving in dangerous conditions, but subfreezing temperatures this week are bringing the possibility of an unusual hazard for the Sunshine State: icy roads.

Experts with TTI said drivers slowing down, wearing seat belts and not being under the influence can help reduce the number of deaths on roads. However, researchers are also working on other ways to make roads safer.
