JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is investigating two unrelated deadly crashes from overnight Thursday. The first happened before 1:30 a.m. when a vehicle traveling west on Park Street near Hyde Park Elementary School when it left the road and hit a tree. Traffic investigators haven’t determined what caused the crash and did not release any other information about the woman involved. A spokesperson for Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said the second crash happened before 2:20 a.m. near Water Street. Investigators said the vehicle crashed into the Lem Turner Collision Center, but they were not sure what caused it to do so.

Photo via iStockJACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A baby was among three people taken to the hospital Wednesday after a car struck several vehicles and crashed into a utility pole on Jacksonvilles Westside. Officers were called to the scene of the crash on Lane Avenue South near Hyde Grove Avenue and Park Street about 9 a.m. after a car slammed into the pole, according to the Jacksonville Sheriffs Office. The driver was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries. A woman and young child inside one of three vehicles struck by the car were also transported as a precautionary measure. The name and condition of the driver were not immediately released.

The social media post didn't name the business or disclouse when the robbery occured. Police said the man showed a gun and the cashier complied and gave him money. JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Several people got out of two cars parked on Edgefield Drive near Park Street on the Westside around 7 p.m. Saturday and started shooting at each, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office. Neighbor Alicia Ellis witnessed the shootout as her 2-year-old son sat in the front yard eating ice cream. "We had just been outside with the kids getting ice cream from the ice cream truck. He looked back down the road where the other vehicle was, he looked back down at this vehicle, looked at me, then got back into his vehicle and took off." Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office or Crime Stoppers at 866-845-TIPS (8477).
