William Doughty and his 9-year-old son spotted the noose while driving on a road in Middleburg. "I was driving down the road and my son said, 'Daddy, do you see that hanging on the fence?'" "The Confederate flag, a hangman's noose, the 'no trespassing' sign, that's obviously somebody wanting attention and putting hate out there, and I don't want violence coming to Clay County." The Clay County father said he is trying to figure out a way to explain this to his 9-year-son who now has questions.
