New image of Saturn's moon excites 'Star Wars' fans

Large crater in middle of moon resembles 'Death Star'

ORLANDO, Fla. – A photo from deep space is exciting fans across the globe.

NASA released a photo of Tethys, a moon that orbits around Saturn. Many sci-fi fans have said it looks strikingly similar to the "Death Star" in "Star Wars." .

Scientists said the giant circle in the middle is actually a crater that was formed by an impact at some point in the moon's history, WKMG-TV reported.

The photo was taken by NASA's Cassini spacecraft that passed near the moon in November.
