JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – High school football season is back! Most teams in the area kicked off their seasons with preseason classics on Friday night, but there were a handful of games that counted.
Schools in Georgia played their regular season openers, with Camden County edging Brunswick 44-35 in an all-area clash. Charlton County (32-12 over Brantley County), Glynn Academy (38-14 over Wayne County) and Ware County (55-7 over Appling County) all won their openers handily.
Sunshine State Athletic Association teams also opened their regular seasons, with Bishop Snyder beating Harvest Community (22-14) and West Nassau thumping Paxon (54-14) to headline the all-local openers.
