JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Bounce back is the phrase of the day.
After the offense struggled on Tuesday, it bounced back in a big way on Wednesday. The second play of practice was a deep shot to Parker Washington, where he split Andrew Wingard and Tyson Campbell and went up to make the catch through contact.

Head coach Liam Coen went out on the field to meet Washington to celebrate the play. That really was the tone setter for practice. Well, at least for the starting offense.
QB tracker
Trevor Lawrence: 12 for 15, 3 TDs (Parker Washington, Brenton Strange, Dyami Brown)
Nick Mullens: 11 for 17, 2 TDs (Trenton Irwin, Austin Trammell) and 2 INTs (Eric Murray and Antonio Johnson).
John Wolford: 0-2
Seth Henigan: 1-1, TD (Chandler Brayboy).
Lawrence had himself a day. Mullens struggled a little bit with a pair of interceptions. The one to Antonio Johnson was a tip drill play after bouncing off a helmet, but the one to Eric Murray was a bad throw/decision and made for a gift-wrapped pick for Murray.

Notebook
Brian Thomas Jr. missed practice with an illness and is day-to-day.
With BTJ out Parker Washington took some reps at X and took advantage, making some big catches, setting himself up for another big day of camp.
Joshua Cephus got some run with the 1st team offense. His climb up the depth chart from a possible bubble guy to taking reps with the 1’s has been fun to watch.
On the list of guys who have flashed during training camp, it feels like Hunter Long has gotten lost in the shuffle. It may have been the injury that sidelined him for a few days, but he just keeps showing up with big catches seemingly wide open. Wednesday was no different. Long was alone near the sideline for a deep catch. Antonio Johnson got there near the 5. I originally thought it was a TD, but they gave Johnson the stop.
In the first depth chart, one of the surprises was the Or next to Parick Mekari’s name. Going into camp I viewed Mekari as a lock to start but Chuma Edgoa has stacked some good days and got some run with the 1st team at right guard.
The starting O-line was fine, but the depth guys had a rough day, including Luke Fortner and Javon Foster. Fortner spent the day at guard and had some struggles.
Sack tracker: DaVon Hamilton and Travon Walker both had sacks during Wednesday’s practice.
Jack Kiser will be a fun guy to watch during the preseason games. Kisner sniffed out a screen blowing through a block to blow up the play in the backfield. Those sorts of instincts are why they drafted him.
