JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jaguars wrapped up their first draft under Liam Coen and James Gladstone by using half of their selections on offensive players and half on defense on the final day on Saturday.

Jacksonville drafted a pair of running backs, a center, two linebackers and a safety to round out their six-pick day. The headliners came in the fourth round.

Round 7

236. RB LeQuint Allen, Syracuse

Jacksonville went with speedy running back Bhayshul Tuten from Virginia Tech at pick No. 104 and followed by drafting Notre Dame linebacker Jack Kiser at 107.

Tuten is a speedster (4.32 time in the 40). He rushed for 3,600 yards and 41 touchdowns in two seasons at North Carolina A&T and two at Virginia Tech. Tuten has massive upside as a potential Bucky Irving-esque back in Liam Coen’s offense. Tuten rushed for a career high 266 yards and three touchdowns in a win over Boston College last season. He also had 892 receiving yards and nine touchdowns in his career.

Kiser played five seasons for the Fighting Irish and had a career-best 90 tackles last season. He had 11 takeaways and a pair of defensive touchdowns in his career.

In the sixth round, Jacksonville went with Auburn linebacker Jalen McLeod at No. 194 and Navy safety Rayuan Lane.

McLeod played at Appalachian State his first three seasons in college where he racked up nine sacks. At Auburn, he was far better, recording 106 tackles and 13.5 sacks.

Lane should get a chance to contribute in Jacksonville’s remade secondary. At Navy, he had 244 tackles as a four-year starter and had seven interceptions along with eight forced fumbles.

Monheim (6-4, 302) started for three seasons at USC and has experience at four of the five positions on the line. He’s likely a candidate for a bottom of the roster spot unless he can press for a spot as a swing candidate.

Running back LeQuint Allen (6-0, 204 pounds) rushed for 1,021 yards and 16 touchdowns in his final season. His best attribute is the ability to contribute as a receiver. His 64 catches last year were the most at the Football Bowl Subdivision level.
