Breaking down the historic moments from Florida’s national championship victory with popular podcast host Gator Dave

Gators coach Todd Golden becomes youngest coach to claim title since 1983

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Leave it to the Gators. It was a nail-biter. But they are the national champions.

Florida pulled out its first title win since going back-to-back in 2006 and 2007 with a 65-63 win against Houston’s ferocious defense that needed a second-half rally.

The host of the popular Gators Breakdown Podcast, Dave Waters (Gator Dave), joined me on The Morning Show to break down Florida’s historic victory that came down to the wire.

And the fact that at 39, Florida coach Todd Golden is the youngest coach to win a national title since Jim Valvano of North Carolina State in 1983.
