Rank, school, record, classification

1. (1) Episcopal (11-2, Class 1A)

Quality wins: Bartram Trail, Benjamin, Bolles, Hagerty, Harrison (Ga.), Jensen Beach, Pensacola Catholic, Ponte Vedra, St. Augustine, Tocoi Creek.

Notable: The Eagles went 2-1 since our last Super 6, beating quality teams in Hagerty (17-5) and Pensacola Catholic (19-7) and losing to powerful Lake Highland Prep (14-8). They have Oceanside Collegiate Academy and unbeaten Tampa Plant on Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively.

2. (2) Ponte Vedra (7-3, Class 2A)

Quality wins: Hagerty, Harrison (Ga.), Oak Hall, St. Thomas Aquinas, Tocoi Creek.

Notable: The Sharks thumped Tocoi Creek 19-4 in their lone game since our last Super 6. Tough game on Monday night against Lake Highland Prep, followed by a trip to Bartram Trail on Wednesday.

3. (3) Bartram Trail (9-4, Class 2A)

Quality win: Bishop Moore, Bolles, Nease, Tocoi Creek, Viera.

Notable: The Bears went 2-0 since our last Super 6, beating Lake Brantley and Bolles, both by 17-6 scores. They close out the regular season with No. 2 Ponte Vedra (Wednesday) and unbeaten Tampa Plant (Friday).

4. (4) Bolles (7-5, Class 1A)

Quality win: Gulf Breeze, Nease, South Walton, Tocoi Creek.

Notable: Bolles is struggling, losing four straight to high quality teams (Episcopal, Bartram Trail, Lake Mary and Oak Hall). But it’s difficult to penalize the Bulldogs too much. They’ve walloped teams ranked below them (St. Augustine, Nease) so I’m hesitant to slide them down.

5. (6) St. Augustine (8-6, Class 1A)

Quality win: Beachside, Menendez, Palmetto, Tocoi Creek

Notable: The Yellow Jackets beat Tocoi Creek (14-10) and Nease (18-4) since our last Super 6. Locally, they’ve lost to the teams ahead of them in the Super 6 by seven goals or more. They’ve got Mandarin (Monday), Wolfson (Tuesday) and Fletcher (Thursday) to round out the week.

6. (5) Tocoi Creek (6-7, Class 2A)

Quality wins: Menendez, West Orange.

Notable: The Toros are in a slump, too. They’ve lost to Super 6 teams Bartram Trail (15-7), St. Augustine (14-10) and Ponte Vedra (19-4) since our last Super 6. They’ve got Atlantic Coast and Creekside on Tuesday and Thursday, respectively. Competition-wise, Tocoi Creek is still significantly ahead of the other teams in the bubble portion of the Super 6.

Others

Fleming Island (5-5, Class 1A); Fletcher (10-2, Class 2A); Mandarin (7-3, Class 2A); Menendez (5-5, Class 1A).
