Jaguars rookie receiver Brian Thomas Jr. put smiles on the faces of children and parents on Thursday morning at The Players Championship by reading to them at a private event.

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – Jaguars receiver Brian Thomas Jr. spent some time at the golf course on Thursday, but he didn’t have a club in his hand.

Instead, Thomas was the featured guest in the Nemours Kids Zone at The Players Championship and read to some very engaged and interested children and their families.

Thomas’ appearance was the headline the 20th anniversary of the Nemours Children’s Reading BrightStart! program.

And Thomas helped put smiles on the faces of children and parents by reading Jaguars mascot Jaxson de Ville’s book, “Jaxson’s Big Jump.”

“I’m super excited to partner with Nemours Children’s Health. Because, I mean, just being from Louisiana, I wanted to come in and get in the community, really quick. It’s just something that I always wanted to do, working for, like, the little kids and stuff. That’s a big reason why I wanted to partner with them.”
