JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Varsity 4 News4JAX Super 6 boys lacrosse rankings will be published each Tuesday in the regular season. Records are through March 3 games.

Rank, previous, school, record, classification

1. (1) Bolles (7-0, Class 1A)

Quality win: Bishop Verot, Fletcher, Montverde, Nease, Timber Creek.

Notable: The beat goes on for the Bulldogs. They crushed Fletcher (13-2) and Timber Creek (20-4) since our last Super 6. Up next is Fleming Island (Tuesday) and South Walton (Friday) before spring break.

2. (2) Ponte Vedra (8-0, Class 2A)

Quality wins: Allatoona (Ga.), Bartram Trail, Creekside, Episcopal, Jupiter, Nease, Starr’s Mill (Ga.), Winter Park.

Notable: The Sharks have the best resume among local teams, including quality Ws over Jupiter (8-6), Bartram (17-1) and Nease (10-7) since our last Super 6. Bishop Moore (Tuesday) and Fletcher (Wednesday) round out the week before a week off.

3. (3) Nease (3-3, Class 2A)

Quality wins: Pope (Ga.), South Walton

Notable: The Panthers went 1-1 since our last Super 6, losing a tight game to No. 2 Ponte Vedra (10-7) and then edging a quality South Walton (7-6). The Panthers face Matanzas (Tuesday) and Winter Park (Friday) before a trip to Buchholz on March 11.

4. (5) Episcopal (7-1, Class 1A)

Quality win: Benedictine (Ga.), Menendez, Savannah Country Day (Ga.), South Walton, Trinity Catholic.

Notable: The Eagles went 2-1 since our last Super 6, losing to No. 2 Ponte Vedra (12-7) and then beating Trinity Catholic (19-7) and South Walton (10-3). Busy week ahead, with Fernandina Beach (Tuesday), Gulf Breeze (Friday) and Navarre (Saturday).

5. (4) Fletcher (7-1, Class 2A)

Quality wins: Bartram Trail, Fleming Island, St. Augustine.

Notable: The Senators went 2-1 since our last Super 6, walloping Menendez (14-5) and beating Fleming Island (13-8), and then losing to Bolles (13-2). No shame in that loss to the Bulldogs. They’ve got Ponte Vedra (Wednesday) and Paxon (Thursday) rounding out the week.

6. (6) Creekside (4-3, Class 2A)

Quality wins: Bartram Trail, Starr’s Mill (Ga.)

Notable: he Knights went 2-1 since our last Super 6, beating Bartram Trail (11-3) and Fernandina Beach (11-1), and losing to Gainesville Oak Hall (8-5). Their only local loss is to No. 2 Ponte Vedra.
