JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jaguars continue to fill out Liam Coen’s coaching staff, hiring Grant Udinski as the offensive coordinator late Wednesday night.
Udinski is entering his sixth season in the NFL and first as an offensive coordinator. He spent last season as the assistant offensive coordinator and assistant quarterbacks coach with the Vikings. At 29 years old, Udinski will be younger than a handful of players on the Jaguars.

“Grant will bring a wealth of knowledge, energy and a winning mindset to help lead our offense here in Jacksonville,” Jaguars head coach Liam Coen said in a statement. “He is a rising star in this league that has been a pillar of success for the Vikings organization and we can’t wait to have him lead our offense.”
Udinski’s hire completes the two main coordinator roles on staff. Coen hired Anthony Campanile as Jacksonville’s defensive coordinator last week.
Udinski won’t be the traditional OC who calls plays like Press Taylor did last season under head coach Doug Pederson. Coen said during his introductory press conference that he would handle playcalling responsibilities with the Jaguars.
Udinski was a graduate assistant at Baylor in 2019 before making the move to the NFL with the Panthers when they hired his former boss, Matt Rhule. Udinski spent the 2020 and ‘21 seasons with Carolina under Rhule as a coaching assistant before going to Minnesota and working alongside Kevin O’Connell.
According to multiple reports, they’re also bringing in former Bears OC Shane Waldron and Bucs passing game specialist John Van Dam.
