Well, I picked the Jags last week and they burned me yet again. Now normally this loss would have been enough to talk me out of picking them, but they are playing the Raiders. And if there is one team struggling right now more than Jacksonville, it is the Raiders. So, I like the Jaguars chances. Mac Jones, BTJ and the entire offense has played better in recent weeks and put up some points. So, if there is a team that the Jaguars should beat, it is this one. Now I know that normally means the Jags try to find a way to lose it, but I don’t think this team has called it quits, and I think the Jags will do just enough to come out on top. — Jaguars 24, Raiders 17.

The Jaguars are bad, yes, but they’re not Raiders-level bad. Jacksonville played well last week and showed some growth on the offensive side of the ball with Mac Jones. The defense still let Jacksonville down at the finish. That’s not going to change until next season under a new defensive staff. But the Jaguars are facing a Raiders team that is starting Desmond Ridder at quarterback and battling for the No. 1 pick in the draft. — Jaguars 24, Raiders 18.

Who can limit the rookie the most? That is the biggest question. The Jaguars star receiver Brian Thomas Jr. had a literally historic game against the Jets last Sunday. Can he continue the hot streak in Las Vegas this Sunday? He only needs 44 yards to eclipse 1,000 receiving yards this season. That’s doable. But can the Jaguars defense limit Raiders rookie tight end Brock Bowers who is also having a great season. He only needs 32 yards to eclipse 1,000 receiving yards. So which player will get to the mark first? I believe the Jaguars will have the winning game plan. — Jaguars 27, Raiders 17.

I haven’t picked the Jaguars in awhile because, well, they aren’t very good. But this week is different. The Jags are a mess right now but they aren’t the Raiders. If they lose this game, pack it all up right now. But that won’t happen. Jags should cruise to a smooth win to get their fourth win of the year. — Jaguars 28, Raiders 17
